Jay Pierson Piccola Owner

Jay Pierson

Jay Pierson is a 5th-generation entrepreneur and a 3rd-generation manufacturer. He started his journey in 2002 when he founded Pierson Industries as a one-man machine shop. After several years of growth, Jay found his niche in the industry and rebranded the company as Pierson Workholding - a manufacturer of high-end industrial tooling for the CNC machining industry. Pierson Workholding grew into a multimillion-dollar company with its products used in over 50 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Jay attributes the growth to building a great team, investing in modern equipment, and adopting Lean Manufacturing principles. Drawing from his success in the manufacturing industry, Jay is focusing his experience, resources, and relationships on Piccola Homes in order to tackle the affordable housing crisis. His vision to create beautiful tiny homes for every stage of life is his newest passion.

Benjamin Davis Piccola President

Benjamin Davis

Benjamin comes from a construction family where he spent his formative years building ground-up houses with his father. Here he developed his building skills from digging trenches to wiring electrical panels which began Benjamin's lifelong love of creating and building. He completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Northridge while also training with the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp at UCLA. After graduation, Benjamin was commissioned as an Acquisitions Officer and spent his active duty as a program manager for military research and development projects. While on active duty he also completed his M.A. in Management from Harvard University Extension School. When Benjamin's service time was complete he moved back to Southern California and worked as a superintendent building and remodeling luxury homes in Beverly Hills. Building tiny homes is the perfect joining of Benjamin's skills and passions. As a creator and builder, he loves taking ideas and making them a reality. Now is his time to give everyone a chance to thrive, both employees and customers alike, through beautifully built tiny homes.
