An ADU (Additional Dwelling Unit) is a permanent structure (typically bigger than 400 sq.ft) that is in addition to a current residence. The ADU must follow LOCAL building rules and regulations and is permanently attached to a foundation. Permits must be submitted to, and it must be inspected by, local government agencies. It is typically designed by an Architect, engineered by a structural engineer and built by a general contractor. This process takes on average 1 1/2 to 2 years with little guarantee that costs will remain on budget or that the contractor will deliver as promised. A Tiny Home On Wheels is a detached, self-contained unit, built on a trailer, that can be towed by a vehicle. It must be certified to the ANSI A119.5 standards. It is built to look like a house and includes basic functional areas that support normal daily routines such as cooking, sleeping, and toiletry, measures between 100 and 400 square feet, and is designed to provide comfortable living spaces with minimal environmental impact. Our Tiny Homes On Wheels undergo strict quality controls in an efficient factory environment. This allows us to guarantee that you are getting the highest quality craftmanship while also receiving your home in a fraction of the time it would take to build an ADU.

In order to keep our high quality standards and quick build times at a reasonable price we do not accommodate changes to the floorplan or appliances. If you would like to customize, Movable Roots and Fritz Tiny Homes are custom tiny home builders that have the same high quality building and design standards that we do.

We have one model ready to buy but we are developing another model right now. The next model will be 28ft long, have two lofts, a living room with an electric fireplace and a bigger shower.
